Do not Drive on the Shoulder of the road!

You may not drive on the shoulder of the road, to the left of the painted yellow edge line or to the right of the painted white edge line on any road.

You may, however, drive to the left of the yellow edge line to allow other vehicles to overtake unde
Single Lane Roadway

You may drive to the left of the yellow edge line to allow other vehicles to overtake if you are driving on a single lane roadway.

Between Sunrise and Sunset

You may drive to the left of the yellow edge line to allow other vehicles to overtake if you are driving during sunrise and sunset (daytime).

Visibility is Good for at least 150m Ahead

You may drive to the left of the yellow edge line to allow other vehicles to overtake if your visibility is good ahead for at least 150m

Safe to do so

You may drive to the left of the yellow edge line to allow other vehicles to overtake only if it is safe to do so. Ensure that there are no stationary vehicles in the road or emergency vehicles making use of the side.
