Vehicles Not Allowed on Freeways
i. Animal-Drawn Vehicles.
ii. Bycicles.
iii. Motorcycles with an engine capacity of 50cc or less.
iv. Electrically powered motorcycles.
v. Motor Tricycles or Quad Bikes.
vi. Vehicles with a mass of 230kg or less - Specifically vehicles constructed for people with disabilities.
People are not Allowed on Freeways, unless...
i. They are in an area specifically demarcated for stopping or parking.
ii. Are on a Freeway for reasons beyond their control.
Animals are not Allowed on Freeways, unless...
i. They are inside a vehicle.
ii. They are in an area specifically demarcated for stopping or parking.
You May Not Stop on a Freeway, unless...
i. You are instructed to do so by a road sign, police or traffic officer.
ii. You are in an area specifically demarcated for stopping or parking.
iii. It is for something beyond your control.
Do Not Use Hand Signals on Freeways, unless...
You are not allowed to make use of hand signals on a freeway, unless it is in an emergency.

These Rules do not Apply to:
These rules do not apply to emergency crew, maintenance workers, construction workers or other officials working on freeways during the normal course of their business.

A learner driver may drive on a freeway on condition he or she is accompanies by a licensed driver for the same class of vehicle being driven.
Driving in the Right-Hand Lane
Driving in the Right-Hand Lane
If you are driving in the right-hand lane on a freeway and another vehicle indicates that it wants to overtake you, signal your intention and start moving back to the left lane when safe to do so. Do not hog the right lane by driving on both the left and right lanes. Do not speed up and allow the vehicle to overtake you safely.
